Fundraising

Each year, from September through December, we run fundraising drives at companies throughout Ulster County.  Loaned Executives and Employee Campaign Managers often arrange presentations with agency speakers to kick off their campaigns.  Employees are given updates on United Way funded programs and asked to contribute to the Community Fund.

"Every fall, the many businesses and professional groups of Ulster County, hear the call to lend our cooperative support for the many member agencies of the United Way that make such a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors. From single mothers to senior citizens, from Scouting to United Cerebral Palsy, from rehab services to daycare, the United Way is local people helping local people. The associates of Johnson Auto Group and I are proud of our long history of supporting the mission and goals of the United Way here in Ulster County, recognizing that the United Way is the way to extend a helping hand to our people in need - right here at home."
—R. Wayne Johnson, President & CEO, Johnson Auto Group, Inc.

"Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union is proud of its longstanding relationship with the United Way. As a lifelong resident of Ulster County, I’ve personally witnessed the breadth and depth of the United Way’s services to the residents of our community and I’m happy that MHV, as a community credit union, has played a part in supporting those efforts. In addition to our contribution, our employees have been most generous in donating funds through payroll deductions, contributing time and effort at the annual Day of Caring, serving as loaned executives and board members to further the goals of the organization. I look forward to our continued collaboration with the United Way to serve the needs of our friends and neighbors."
—William L. Spearman, CCE, President/CEO, Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union
